Background:
Greetings! My name is Dennis Kowallek and I am a retired software developer.
I spent 22 years working for AT&T in Cleveland and Cincinnati designing and
implementing everything from mainframe applications to client-server and web-based
solutions. I took an early retirement offer in 1998 and then spent seven months
working for MedPlus on
their ChartMaxx application. I decided to fully retire in 1999.
Soon after retiring I got bit by the genealogy bug and began using Millennia's
Legacy Family
Tree for recording my family history. One of the reasons I chose Legacy
is because it utilizes an MS Access database on the back end. This allows me
to program my own reports (and web pages) when necessary. I've been doing this
since 2001.
